Beech Acres Amphitheater Site of Summer Concerts

Anderson Township Parks Concerts - Thursdays       

Once again the Parks are sponsoring weekly concerts at 7 pm in Beech Acres Amphitheater.  Be sure to bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy being surrounded by friends and neighbors.  Concessions will be available for purchase, or bring your own picnic basket. Children must be 16 or accompanied by an adult. Concerts are all free.  

  • June 13 - Hickory Robot - bluegrass band
  • June 20 - Stagger Lee Band - classic Rock and country music
  • June 27 - Robin Lacy and DeZydeco - New Orleans R & B, Creole Funk and Blues
  • July 11 - Shoot out the Lights - Rock / Americana
  • July 18 - Slim Tempo and the ChangeUps - Classic Rock

Free Concerts in Anderson Township

Plan to attend the following fun concerts starting at 7 PM at the Beech Acres Park Amphitheater:

  • June 9 - Monday Night Big Band
  • June 16 - Chuck Brisbin and the Tuna Project (Blues/Rock)
  • June 23 - The Modulators (Eclectic Rock)
  • June 30 - Six Pac (Country)

A great way to enjoy the summer season.  Maybe you should take a picnic with you as well.

Arts Wave Sampler Weekend Activities - April 23

Arts Wave Sampler Weekends                                        

Arts Wave (formerly the Fine Arts Fund) is again sponsoringArts wave - Cincinnati Sampler Weekends...with the emphasis on the plural weekends.  As part of their emphasis on taking the arts to the communities throughout the region, the events have been expanded to encompass six weekends.

So now, you have many more opportunities to celebrate the music, dance, theater, museum and festival offerings around the area.  So take your friends, family, children or neighbors in hand and plan on some special fun.  Best of all, it's FREE!

Events for April 23rd that caught my eye include:

Contemporary Arts Center:

1-4 pm - Pones, Inc -  group helps children make masks and dance

1 pm - Tracy Walker Band

3 pm - Nalanda School of Dance

4 pm -Curator tour of Keith Haring's work

Anderson Center:

1-4 pm - Make a card for Bill's Birthday

2 pm - In Love with Shakespeare - Cincinnati Shakespeare Company presents Bill's best love scenes

3 pm - Catacoustic Concert - music of Shakespeare's time

3 pm - Bill's Birthday Party - as in "Bill" Shakespeare

Emanuel Community Center:

1 pm - Ceol Mhor - Celtic, Scottish and Welsh music   

3:30 pm - My Nose Turns Red Youth Circus

Betts House:

12:30-5 pm - Vanishing Cincinnati Exhibit

Cincinnati Floods - Clear Creek Park in Anderson Township

After days and days of rain, the Ohio River is at flood stage.  We are seeing the back up on the Little Miami River as well.  Ceasar Creek Park - Anderson Township
