Butterflies Return to Krohn Conservatory

.Butterflies Return to Krohn Conservatory - Thru June 24     

Krohn Conservatory again is hosting its popular spring time butterfly show, this year titled "On the Wings of Harmony." Sponsorships from Procter and Gamble and Macy's help make the show possible. Visitors will be treated to vibrant, colorful butterflies from every continent on earth, except Antarctica.  The butterflies are in free flight throughout the display, landing on flowers and everyone's brightly colored clothing.  It's delightful!

Celebrate Wednesdays at Krohn Conservatory's Butterfly Show

Wednesdays at Krohn Conservatory                             

During the Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory, they are Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Showopening especially on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-8:30 PM for you to enjoy the butterflies, Japanese Gardens, bonsai and ikebana.  You will sample sake and other Japanese drinks, as well as musical entertainment.

The goal is to allow us to experience the Japanese culture, its flora and fauna, right here in Cincinnati.  Japanese artist's work will be displayed. Plus, tourism videos will be shown of different areas in Japan.

Local bands that you can hear are:

Shiny Old Soul - May 19 (Part Jazz, part rock, all original, acoustic)

The Electric Generals - May 26

Kyle English - June 2 (Solo, Acoustic guitar player)

Jason Ludwig - June 9 (Singer/songwriter, plays with Noctaluca)

A new feature offered at the Krohn is the ability to download MPEG-4 video files to your I-phone and follow the tour as you visit various plant houses.  What a way to be able to learn as you tour!

Krohn Conservatory Butterfly ShowHamilton County Park District - Every Friday from April 9-May 28, join Fantastic Farm Fridays at Parky's Farm in Winton Woods (10073 Daly Road).  Children will experience hands-on educational activities and live demonstrations.  Nursery School through second graders will be able to plant veggies, card wool and measure the height of a pony.  Other activities will be sheep shearing, goat milking, and fishing.  Free! Cincinnati Park District's Krohn Conservatory- If you have never been to the Butterfly Show, don't miss it this year. It's the fifteenth year where you have an opportunity to have butterflies land on your hands and head.  Held from April 17 through June 20, 10am-5pm, the show will mimic the changes of seasons and feature the Butterflies of Japan.
