Batfest at Cincinnati Museum Center- October 27                   
Learn more about the 13 bat species recorded in Ohio and the only mammal that can fly during this event in the rotunda of Union Terminal.  The event features a children's book author, local bat enthusiasts and organizations, an expert from the Fish & Wildlife Services to discuss white nose syndrome, an amazing 106-foot Rotunda climb by Greater Cincinnati Grotto members, a tasting of food pollinated by bats, the popular costume parade and more. Visitors will learn the importance of bats in our ecosystem from experts and discover that they're not so scary after all!
Bats Overnight is another program available that day, where you spend a night at the Museum. Kids will watch a bat in flight, learn about the Museum's limestone cave and explore the Museum of Natural History & Science after hours. The next morning, they will be treated to breakfast and the OMNIMAX® film, Journey into Amazing Caves.
