University of Cincinnati Named Number 1 on "Best Bang for Your Buck" List

Santa Ono, President of the University of Cincinnati, is justifiably proud of their ranking as Number 1 in the list recently published of the 12 universities where students get the "Best Bang for Their Buck"  The list looked at average student debt upon graduation, starting salaries, tuition and room and board, six-year graduation rates, and the percentage of students that qualify for Pell grants.

Why are they looking at this information?  Based upon the plans developed by President Obama for a collegiate ranking system, distribution of federal education funds will be dependent upon how well universities do in this ranking.  The hope is that this rating system will help control sharp tuition increases.

UC was noted for offering a good return on investment with high graduation rates and decent starting salaries upon graduation.
