Cincinnati Children's Hospital Honored by US News
U.S. News has given the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center recognition in its annual report of the Best Children's Hospitals. They reviewed over 5000 hospitals and reported that only 1 hospital in 30 is able to treat kids with serious conditions. Altogether, 80 hospitals received honors in at least one category.
Overall, Cincinnati Children's was ranked third in the nation. It received 18 points with 9 specialties. Points were awarded by how the specialties ranked in the nation. They received 2 points if they ranked in the top 5% and 1 point if they ranked in the top 6-10%. Their neonatology program was ranked number 1 and received 3 points. Pulmonology was ranked number 2 in the country.
Other outstanding hospitals were Boston's Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
