One Earth...One Chance is Theme of 42nd Cincinnati Earth Day   

​A free, fun-filled day is planned for the 42rd celebration of Earth Day in Cincinnati on April 21st from noon until 5 pm.  The day, to be held at Sawyer Point, will include children's activities, environmental education, entertainment and recycling education.

​The day will kick off with an opening ceremony by the Miami Valley Council of Native Americans. Exhibitors on hand will represent environmental groups, government agencies and businesses.  Fun activities will include a rock-climbing wall, Kayak Paddle Safety Pool, Orsanco's aquarium, baby animals from Sunrock Farm, Mother Earth and storytelling.  Local classrooms are being asked to design costumes utilizing recylables. Children will be able to design their own earth Day flags.

​Local bands will make the day totally enjoyable.  Coming to perform are Jody Stapleton and the Generals, Magnolia Mountain, Wild Carrot and Janice Butterfly Tyrten Flute.  Cool Critters will be there to educate about reptiles and invertebrates in need of rescuing.  Bring used batteries to turn in for recycling.
