Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the Freedom Center - January 21
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 21.  There will be special activities all day and admission will be free.Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Galleries will be open from 11 am - 5 pm.  They will give guided tours of the exhibitions.  Hands-on stations will be set up for better understanding of the Civil War encampments and the cotton gin.
Hoxworth Blood Center will be there from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm for those interested in giving blood in Dr. King's honor. 
Even the special Exhibition called "Women Hold Up Half the Sky" will offer free admission. That exhibit tells stories of women around the globe, who have changed their lives through self-determination, economics and education.
