In a report issued by the Pew Charitable Trust, Ohio was ranked best in the Midwest and among the top five in the nation for job growth in a clean energy economy.  Ohio is uniquely positioned to succeed in the advanced energy industry because of strengths in both manufacturing and engineering.  We also have a skilled labor pool capable of fulfilling jobs of the future.

Pew defined a Clean Energy economy as one that generated jobs, business and investments while expanding clean energy production, increasing energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, waste and pollution and conserving water and other natural resources.

Support for the advanced energy industry comes from the Ohio Third Frontier, a program put in place to expand Ohio’s technological strengths and economic prosperity.
