Hank Williams: Lost Highway at the Playhouse - Nov. 3-Dec. 23

Hank Williams: Lost HighwayConsidered the father of contemporary music, Hank Williams was a superstar by age 25 and dead by age 29. The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's presentation goes beyond his legend as a man, to the roots of his music. The play explores his early backwoods upbringing, where he received his first guitar at age 8 from his mother.  You will follow him as he moved on to his stardom days on the Grand Ole Opry. And then come the hard years of fame, drugs, and alcohol.

More than 20 of the Williams’ most popular songs will be preformed, including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey, Good Lookin’” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,”   Did you know that Hank Williams even recorded several of his greatest hits here in Cincinnati at WCKY?
