UC's Homecoming is Saturday, Oct. 6
Don't miss the University of Cincinnati's biggest party of the year, Homecoming, as UC welcomes everyone back to campus for all the events that will lead up to UC's 7 pm Homecoming game versus Miami. This year's theme is "We Love Lucy: A Flashback to Yesteryear."
The University of Cincinnati's Homecoming celebration will be held this year on October 6th.  This giant red and black celebration features a parade and the Bearcat vs. Miami Redhawks football game.
The pre-game parade will kick off at 3 pm.  It will proceed from Vine and Calhoun to north on Clifton to east on Martin Luther King to Woodside.  Sororities and Fraternities, student organizations and residences will all work late into the night to complete floats.  Numerous bands and marching drum corps will be there. (Streets will start to close at 2 pm, so plan to get there early).
Between the parade and the game, alumni can participate in the Bearcats Blitz and tailgate on the Sigma Sigma Commons near Myers Alumni Center.  There will be big-screen TV's, prize raffles, food and refreshments.
At 4:30 pm, the UC Band will perform and along with the cheerleaders, lead the way down the Catwalk to the stadium.
The football rivalry between the Bearcats and the Redhawks is one of the oldest west of the Allegheny Mountains.  Their first matchup dates back to 1888 and was the first football game played in Ohio.  The winning team will go home with the Victory Bell.
The game will start at 7 pm at Nippert Stadium with the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King at halftime. You can purchase game tickets here.
